I've been reading loads of books, since I'm not longer bound by the reading list of my thesis or my exams. So I'm using the time I have left to make book loans from the uni library. Can't read all I want because there's not enough time (umm, two weeks until I return to Salzburg for maybe the last time). But I'm certainly reading quickly, and working through 7 books in 2-3 weeks.
Most of them get internalized into my mental bookshelf of ideas and thoughts. One that I enjoyed exceptionally much was Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the Wind, a fantasy trilogy (I think). The first part of the series. It's probably a bit cliché. A brooding, strong protagonist, his helper, magic, love. All the good stuff. It also reminds me a bit of the Dark Elf trilogy. But it's very enjoyable. And Rothfuss loves Whedon. We're all family here.

Diesen Sommer konnte ich auch einmal den Baumwipfelweg besteigen, eine Holzkonstruktion 30m über dem Waldboden. Ziemlich cooles Teil.
Und diese Woche war ich subversiv unterwegs. Gestern auf dem Weg zum Hermes-Paketshop (coincidentally, auch der Weg zum Kendo-Training) habe ich dieses eine LoveGuerilla Plakat aufgehängt. An der Straßenbahnhaltestelle, direkt auf der Werbetafel. Hab mich dabei ganz evil gefühlt ;)
Heute kam ich dabei dann zuuufällig vorbei, als ich komplett unbeabsichtigerweise wieder den Weg zum Kendo-Training einschlug. Meine Erwartung war, dass jemand das Plakat entfernt hätte. Unautorisierte Plakate auf Plakatwände kleben und so. Doch nein, es war noch da. Und zwei der Streifen fehlten bereits. Was braucht es mehr, um etwas Wärme im Herzen aufkommen zu lassen?
In den nächsten Tagen verunstalte ich dann die Kulturhauptstadt mit ein paar mehr Plakaten. Spread the love.

Und noch nen Lesetipp: Arthur C. Clark & Stephen Baxter: Die Zeit Odysee Triologie, GENIALE Sci-Fi Triologie die vor allem durch die Massstäbe beieindruckt (klingt vll. komisch, ist aber so ;) )
Guerilla love, hm? Reminds me I should clean last year's flower bulbs to use for some guerilla gardening. I really should do that tomorrow - will keep my hands busy while I try to study, and keep me away from evil youtube (stupid Castlefest withdrawal!)

@Magpie: Youtube isn't evil. Youtube is gooood. You just need to watch very specifically ... once you start clicking random videos that sound interesting, you never stop.
All the LoveGuerilla pieces were gone today! Only the big "We love you" was left. That's so awesome!

@SciFi: Ich hab eh auch mehr als genug anderes noch vor mir (hab von ner Bekannten eine Reisetasche mit Büchern bekommen...) aber das war mal wieder was beeindruckendes, nicht ganz sooooooo geil wie Otherland (is auch genre mässig was andres), aber kann dann doch fast mithalten
